I am currently the Senior UX Designer & Design and Creative Lead at Nexus Communications where I oversee our UX career site development and Talent Attraction initiatives for some of North America’s largest companies including Walmart, Sobeys, Giant Eagle, Albertsons, Shoppers Drug Mart, CIBC, RBC and Loblaw.

Nexus Communications | 2010 – Present
Design and Creative Lead

  • Led persona and conversion based web design and UX experience to increase traffic and attract high potential candidates through corporate career sites, significantly improving end user engagement
  • Created hiring campaigns for social marketing for LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram that included copywriting, design and creative strategy resulting in over 100 million views, tens of thousands of applications and thousands of new hires
  • Part of the strategy team tasked to develop and guide key stakeholders in result driven solutions for hiring campaigns outside of social media, such as in-store hiring promotions and events as well as EVP (Employee Value Proposition) creation and implementation resulting in improved communications and a more unified employee message
  • Worked as a liaison between client and studio activation, which included managing expectations and timelines, as well as creative direction within my team members resulting in a streamlined and smooth experience  – as backed by positive client feedback surveys
  • Developed Total Reward, DEI, and Performance and Recognition initiatives reaching hundreds of thousands of employees across multiple companies and banners

A snapshot of projects I have led...

Led the design and strategy for Shoppers Drug Mart’s and Loblaw’s various hiring campaigns such as social marketing
ads and job fair support materials
and swag.

Worked with Senior Product Managers in creating a library of Human Centric Leadership resources for employees to learn online. I led the design and strategy of HR marketing material such as leadership and DEI initiatives and contributed to storytelling through company wide videos.

Led my team to design, create and implement career microsites collaborating closely with Talent Attraction Managers.

I led my team to design and program an E-learn series on Leading with Purpose. Also contributed to various in house EVP initiatives, videos and marketing materials.
Worked with key Walmart stakeholders on creating a portal website for new hires to view and obtain resources for on-boarding. I also created talent attraction in store marketing material, and worked on HR videos.
Led the creation and writing of Giant Eagle’s EVP along with the corresponding brand guide. I also worked with HR to wireframe and design the UX for their talent attraction website.
Led Sobeys’ talent attraction and marketing initiatives which included dozens of Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn social campaigns across Canada.

I also collaborated with HR for dozens of in store marketing promotions, career site upgrades and implementation as well as DEI and Recognition Programs.
